Happy New Year to you and yours! We hope you had a happy & healthy Holiday season.
For our first Monday feature of 2021, we want to share with you an organization that we are proud to be a part of, the CSI Denver Chapter.
The overall mission of CSI is to advance building information management and education of project teams to improve facility performance.
CSI was founded in 1948 by the specification writers of government agencies who came together to improve the quality of construction specifications.
The Institute grew quickly to include private sector specification writers, design professionals, facility managers, constructors, manufacturers, material suppliers, and more. These construction professionals continue to collaborate today as CSI members to promote education, coordination, and cooperation among all parties in the vast construction industry in order to create outstanding facilities.
WHAT WE LOVE ABOUT CSI —
First and foremost, we love the community CSI Denver offers. The variety of industry professionals involved make our Denver Chapter what it is.
The networking and connection with other industry professionals is endless. We are sponsors of CSI Denver and are able to set up table tops at luncheons to showcase our product lines. We both are active on the CSI Denver Chapter board. Steve is the 2nd Vice President & Hannah is on the Programs Committee, Marketing Committee, and Chair of the Emerging Professionals.

WHAT EVENTS DOES CSI DENVER OFFER —
As we all know, 2020 looked a little different than most years. CSI Denver stepped up to the plate & we were able to continue our events virtually which was a big success.
One of the best things CSI Denver offers is our monthly meetings. In the past, we have had our monthly lunch meeting at Lakewood Country Club. Currently we are doing our monthly meetings via Zoom. Read more about one of our virtual membership meetings we had in June HERE.
We have Education days with multiple presenters, networking, and more. You can earn AIA credits as well as CEU credits. Education is a huge piece of CSI and our Chapter provides many opportunities.
We have an annual CSI Build Denver show that you can read more about HERE as well as a golf tournament you can read more about HERE.
We also host a casual Zoom coffee hour the 1st Thursday of every month and a Zoom happy hour the 3rd Wednesday. Email Hannah at kanehannahd@gmail.com if you would like to join! These are a great opportunity for anyone interested in CSI to meet some members and ask questions.
UPCOMING EVENTS —
We have our first monthly membership Zoom meeting next Thursday January 12th from 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM. There will be networking from 11:30 AM - 12:00 PM followed by our speaker, Alex Carrick. He will be speaking on The U.S. Economic and Construction Outlooks for 2021. It is free to attend & members receive a $25 Uber Eats gift card.
